Sources
Records are built from publicly accessible auction pages and from data entered by our administrators from those pages. Each record notes the auction house it came from and the date it was last updated here.
No affiliation
Bidcarwin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Copart, IAAI, bid.cars, bidfax.info or any other auction company. Their names are used only to say where a record came from, and all trademarks belong to their owners.
What the archive does not contain
Some limits are deliberate, and worth stating plainly.
- Auctions that have not finished are never published.
- A current or in-progress bid is never stored or shown as a final price.
- A price is shown only where the source published a completed result.
- Where a field is unknown we leave it out rather than guess.
Completeness
The archive is incomplete: it covers a subset of US auction activity. Absence of a record is not evidence that a vehicle was never auctioned, and the presence of one is not a guarantee that every detail is current.
Corrections
If something is wrong, tell us. We review every reasoned request and correct or remove records where the request is justified.
