US auction history archive
Check a vehicle before you commit to it
Enter a VIN and read what the US auctions recorded: when the car was sold, for how much, what was damaged, and what the odometer said.
Archived auction results only. Nothing is for sale here and no bids are accepted.

Why the auction history matters
A car imported from the United States has almost always passed through an auction. What happened there is the part of its history that is easiest to leave out of a sales advert.
Bidcarwin does not inspect, repair or approve any vehicle. It shows what the auction recorded before the work was done, so a car that looks finished can be judged on more than how it looks.

Damage is recorded before the repair
Auctions list the damage as the car arrived. A repaired vehicle can look intact and still have been sold as a front-end or flood loss.
The price says what the market thought
A final auction price is what a professional buyer paid knowing the damage. It is a far better anchor than an asking price.
A VIN can appear more than once
A car sold at auction several times has been through several owners and, often, several repairs. The pattern is visible in one place.
What a record contains
Not every field exists for every sale. Where a value is unknown we leave it out rather than guess.
Records are built from publicly available auction pages. The archive is not complete: not every sale reaches it, and individual fields can be missing. We never publish a current bid as a final price, and we never list an auction that has not finished.

How it works
Enter a VIN
The full VIN, or the lot number from an auction listing.
We search the archive
We look through stored records of sales that have finished.
Read the history
Dates, prices, damage, odometer and photographs, sale by sale.
Get a sense of the market
Filter recorded sales by make, model and year. This is not a catalogue of cars for sale — it is what comparable vehicles went for at auction.
These are historical auction results, not current listings and not a prediction of future prices.

Common questions
What this site is, and what it is not.
Can I buy a car here?
No. Bidcarwin is an information archive of auctions that have already finished. Nothing is for sale, no bids are accepted and no payment is ever taken.
Where does the data come from?
From publicly accessible auction pages, entered and checked by our administrators. Each record names the auction house it came from and the date it was last updated here.
Why is a car I know about not in the archive?
The archive covers a subset of US auction activity and is not complete. A vehicle missing from it may still have an auction history elsewhere.
Is the final price what I should pay?
No. It is what one buyer paid at one auction, usually for a damaged car, without transport, duties or repair. Treat it as a reference point, not a valuation.
What is the attached Carfax report?
On some records an administrator has attached a Carfax PDF supplied with the vehicle. It is a third-party document: we make it available, we do not produce it and we cannot guarantee it is complete or current.
A record about my car is wrong. Can you fix it?
Yes. Send a correction or removal request with the VIN and what is wrong, and we will review it and reply.
